Christmas 2015 patch

Well I had fun this Christmas! Following the release of the Christmas patch and during the holidays, I have had the most fun in years in this game.

Many players logged in, Allfor had good numbers, and we helped pushing the front line eastwards.

And it was about time - it looked like a certain defeat for the Allies. Since than we slowly but steadily march east!

A few days ago the Germans received Tigers, which surely does not help us in our advance, but on the other hand surely helps our kill statistics...

The new patch brought a big change: mobile spawn points are now only placed by lorries, not mission leaders on foot.

I was not convinced at first that this is a positive change, but I am convinced now. It looks like people are cooperating and communicating more. I also have the feeling that the amount of mobile spawn points available for spawning and attacking has increased.

I do not think the detectability of a lorry is a big issue - one day, Pictboy3 placed a great spawn point 400 m from an army base in a big city - it survived for more than an hour, during which we (unsuccessfully) tried to capture the army base.

Yesterday, a new player, Chev, joined our squad. He subscribed immediately for a year (!). Squadies, please help him grind trough the ranks as fast as possible!

Idea for a game starting page

I think that especially new players should be able to quickly and easily enter the fight. At the same time, it should look nice. This idea is based around a front lines map showing recent and ongoing attacks and defences, while at the same time offering five most populated/interesting missions to choose from immediately. Bohain attack

We had a wonderful opportunity of taking Bohain easily. We setup nicely and were taking all four capture points simultaneously. However, after capturing three of them, including our spawnable at A1, Axis responded and we were not able to hold.


















First the western, spawnable CP went down. War49 was guarding, but there was little help from other Allfor members. There were four Executive Officers online at that time, but two of them were fighting over an enemy forward base at a different location.

So, due to bad communications, a conflict between War49 and Richard over command, but also due to bad play on the Allied side in general, we were beaten. I am not sure who was right, because, as I said, two officers were in Bohain, but two were not.

Update: War49 has left the squad a short while after this conflict occured.

Pictboy3 back ingame

I have had really much fun playing yesterday and today. Allfor had very good numbers of players ingame on both days. Also, Pictboy3 is playing with us again, which is indeed good news.

He is a extremely good tactician and a field commander. He is surely one of the best players to play with.

Yesterday the Allies pocketed and destroyed two Axis divisions, captured many towns and moved the frontline eastwards.


We tried to attack several towns today, and Allfor participated heavily in preparing these attacks. (first picture)

However, we only succeeded after someone captured a spawnable CP in Diest. We switched and an extremely intense fight broke out. In the end we prevailed. (second picture)

The sss14 bug solved

I hope I am not announcing prematurely, but it seems that the bug that made the player Sss14 offset in the virtual world from the perspective of other players, and which gave him a considerable advantage, is solved.

Fiero of Lancers made a nice video showing the bug by following Sss14. Fiero reported today killing Sss14 several times without trouble.
